Using the Macro Converters (10x - 40x)Updated 2 months ago

What they do: Four macro converters thread directly on the 240 mm to deliver ~10× up to ~40× optical macro, while letting you work at a comfortable distance (great for insects, textures, product details).

Setup

  1. With the 240 mm mounted over the tele camera, thread one macro converter onto the front.

  2. Add converters to increase magnification (up to four stacked). Expect shallower depth of field and tighter working distances with more stacking.

Shooting tips

  • Light it well: Macros love light; use a continuous light or bounce card to keep ISO low.

  • Stabilize: Use a grip/tripod; even tiny movements are magnified.

  • Focus: Switch to manual focus or use focus peaking; rock the phone gently to “scan” focus through the subject plane.

  • Distance: Each converter will bring the focus distance closer to you

    • 1x Macro Converter: ~0.5m

    • 2x Macro Converters: ~0.25m

    • 3x Macro Converters: ~0.16m

    • 4x Macro Converters: ~0.1m

Common issues

  • Soft edges: Add light and stop motion; ensure converters are fully threaded and clean.

  • Too close? Back up slightly—this system is designed so you don’t need to be flush against the subject.
