Using the Filters (CPL, VND)Updated 2 months ago
We offer 3 filters, CPL, VND (Hard), & VND (Soft), sized m37 and optically matched for the 240 mm to maintain edge-to-edge clarity and avoid vignetting.
Setup
With the 240 mm mounted over the tele camera, thread your desired filter onto the front of the lens.
You can stack filters on top of the 240mm Super Zoom Tele and Macro Converters
Using a CPL (Circular Polarizer)
Rotation: The front ring rotates. While previewing the scene, slowly rotate to cut reflections (water, glass) or deepen sky/foliage.
Tip: Re-check after reframing—polarization effect changes with angle to the light.
Using a VND (Variable ND)
Rotation: Turn the front ring to increase/decrease density.
Aim: Use the 180° rule to set the shutter (e.g., 1/48–1/60 s for 24/30 fps video, respectively) or allow wider apertures in bright light.
Stops/Marks: Stay within the marked range to avoid the “X” pattern.
Tip: For long tele shots, a little extra ND can smooth micro-jitter by allowing slightly slower shutter—balance against motion blur.
