Before mounting your lens, you’ll first need to identify which mounting system you’re using. ShiftCam offers two options: a dedicated ShiftCam Camera Case designed for specific phone models, or a Universal S.Mount for users who prefer using their own phone case.

Step 1: Choose Your Mounting System

 A. Using the ShiftCam Camera Case - If you’re using a compatible ShiftCam camera case, simply snap the case onto your phone. The case is designed to align perfectly with your phone’s camera system, making lens attachment seamless.

 B. Using the Universal Mount - If you’re using your own phone case or your phone model doesn’t have a dedicated ShiftCam case, you can use the included universal mount.

To install the universal mount:

1. Identify your phone’s main camera. A simple way to do this is by covering each camera lens with your finger while checking the camera preview.
2. Position the universal mount over the main camera.
3. Tighten the screws securely.
4. Once secured, your universal mount is ready for use with any compatible phone.

Step 2: Adjust Your Camera Settings

A. For iPhone Users - When using the native Camera app on iPhone, enabling Macro Control helps ensure the correct camera is being used with your V.Series lens.

To enable Macro Control:

1. Open Settings
2. Go to Camera
3. Scroll down and turn on Macro Control

Once enabled, a yellow flower icon may appear when shooting. If your phone switches to the wrong camera or you notice lens edges appearing in your shot, simply tap the yellow flower icon to disable macro mode. This forces the phone to use the main camera for better compatibility with the lens.

B. For Android Users - On Android devices, it’s recommended to enable Professional Mode or Pro Mode in your camera settings. This allows you to manually select the camera you want to shoot with, helping ensure the correct lens is activated while using your ShiftCam lens.

Step 3: Mount the Lens

Inside the box, your V.Series lens comes protected in a premium silicone carrying case with both front and rear lens caps.

To mount the lens:

1. Remove the front and back lens caps.
2. Align the lens mount with your phone’s main camera.
3. Twist or attach the lens securely into place.

Once attached, your ShiftCam V.Series lens is ready to use.
