Getting Started: SnapGrip / SnapGrip ProUpdated a month ago
Both SnapGrip Classic and SnapGrip Pro are designed to work with any smartphone except for flip phones. They attach magnetically to MagSafe-compatible smartphones and magnetic phone case; a magnetic sticker is required for non-MagSafe ones.
Step 1: Attach the SnapGrip / SnapGrip Pro to your smartphone.
a. For MagSafe-compatible smartphones and magnetic phone cases: Attach the SnapGrip / SnapGrip Pro directly to the back of your phone. It will snap into place securely.
b. For non-MagSafe smartphones: Attach the magnetic sticker to either the back of your smartphone or at the back of your phone case. Once the magnetic sticker is attached, place the SnapGrip/SnapGrip Pro on top of the magnetic sticker. It will snap into place either on the phone or the phone case, depending on where you attached the sticker.
Step 2: Power on the SnapGrip / SnapGrip Pro
Locate the shutter button on the SnapGrip/SnapGrip Pro and press it to turn it on. The blue LED light will start blinking, indicating that the SnapGrip/SnapGrip Pro is powered on and ready to be connected to a device
Step 3: Connect SnapGrip / SnapGrip Pro to your smartphone's Bluetooth
On your smartphone, go to the Settings menu and enable Bluetooth. Then, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "ShiftCam SnapGrip" from the list if you are using the SnapGrip Classic and "SnapGrip Pro" if you are using the SnapGrip Pro.
Step 3: Verify the connection.
Once the SnapGrip / SnapGrip Pro is successfully connected to your smartphone, the blue LED light on the SnapGrip will stop blinking and light up continuously in blue. This indicates that the SnapGrip / SnapGrip Pro is now connected to a device and ready to be used.
Step 5: Launch your camera app on your smartphone and you are now ready to take photos or videos with your SnapGrip / SnapGrip Pro.
a. To take a photo, click the shutter button on the SnapGrip / SnapGrip Pro once. This will capture a single photo.
b. To record a video, press and hold the shutter button on the SnapGrip / SnapGrip Pro. This will initiate video recording. Release the button to stop recording.
Switch between landscape and portrait modes
The SnapGrip / SnapGrip Pro allows effortless switching between landscape and portrait orientations. Simply rotate your smartphone accordingly. The SnapGrip / SnapGrip Pro's design ensures a secure grip in both orientations, providing stability for capturing photos and videos.
Enable / Disable Wireless Charging
A. Enable the Wireless Charging
Step 1: Press the Qi on/off button on the SnapGrip once. This button controls the wireless charging feature. The LED lights on the bottom right of your SnapGrip should light up in white color to indicate SnapGrip’s battery level.
Step 2: Wireless charging will be enabled, and your phone should start charging wirelessly. You may see a charging indicator on your phone's screen and a green LED light on the SnapGrip confirming that charging has started.
B. Disable the Wireless Charging
Double-press the Wireless Charging button on the SnapGrip / SnapGrip Pro. This action will disable the wireless charging feature. Wireless charging will be turned off along with the green LED light, and your phone will stop charging wirelessly.
*Please note that the SnapGrip wireless charging feature will only work on smartphones that support wireless charging. If your smartphone supports Qi wireless charging, it should work well with SnapGrip's wireless charging feature.
Reminder: SnapGrip is designed to accommodate phone cases up to 2.5mm thick exclusively. It is crucial to use a phone case that has a flat back and is not bulky. If you experience wireless charging issues with the SnapGrip, we suggest testing the device on your smartphone without a case to eliminate any compatibility concerns with the phone case.
Automatic Sleep Mode:
After 15 minutes of inactivity, SnapGrip will enter sleep mode to conserve power. This feature ensures that your device can be ready to capture photos or perform other functions when you need it while extending battery life during periods of non-use.
Reactivate SnapGrip:
To reactivate SnapGrip from sleep mode, simply press the shutter button once. This action will wake up the device, allowing you to continue using it without any interruptions.
