The S.Mount Stick-on Plate lets you securely attach compatible S.Mount lenses to your iPhone for a quick and easy shooting experience.
Follow the guide below to install, remove, and reuse your S.Mount Plate.
1. First-Time Installation
Step 1: Clean your iPhone
Use the included wet alcohol tissue to thoroughly clean your iPhone's camera bump and lenses. Then, use the dry cloth to remove any remaining alcohol residue.
Important: Make sure the surface is completely clean and dry before applying the S.Mount Plate.
Step 2: Prepare the S.Mount Stick-on Plate
Peel off the protective sheet from the S.Mount Plate adhesive. Be careful not to touch the exposed adhesive surface.
Step 3: Align the S.Mount Plate
Position the S.Mount Plate accurately over your iPhone's camera bump. Use the iPhone cameras as your guide to ensure the mount is correctly aligned.
Step 4: Press to activate the adhesive
Once the S.Mount Plate is properly positioned, press firmly on the mount for 30 seconds.This helps activate the adhesive and create a strong bond.
Step 5: Allow the adhesive to cure
Wait at least 2 hours before using the S.Mount Plate. For the strongest bond, we recommend allowing it to cure for 8 hours.
Tip: Install the S.Mount Plate in the evening and let it cure overnight before using it.
Step 6: Attach your S.Mount Lens
Position the compatible S.Mount lens correctly on the S.Mount Plate. Twist the lens 90° clockwise until it is securely locked in place.
Your lens is now ready to use.
2. Removing the S.Mount Plate
If you need to remove the S.Mount Plate, use the included prying tool.
Step 1: Insert the prying tool
Insert the prying tool into the opening on the side of the camera bump.
Step 2: Slowly separate the mount
Twist the prying tool gently while gradually applying more pressure. Slowly work around the mount to separate the S.Mount Plate from the iPhone camera bump.
Important: Do not force or pry aggressively, as this may damage your device or the S.Mount Plate.
Adhesive warning: Do not reuse the same adhesive. Once the S.Mount Plate has been removed, the existing adhesive should be replaced before reinstalling the mount. Reusing the same adhesive may result in reduced bonding strength.
3. Reusing the S.Mount Plate
The S.Mount Plate can be reused with a new adhesive sticker.
Step 1: Remove the old adhesive
Remove the existing adhesive tape from the S.Mount Plate. Use the alcohol pads to thoroughly clean both:
- The S.Mount Plate
- Your iPhone's camera bump
Allow both surfaces to dry completely before continuing.
Step 2: Prepare the new adhesive
Take a new adhesive sticker from the replacement sheet. Using the iPhone's camera lenses for alignment, position the sticker over the camera bump.
IMPORTANT: Place the sticker with the sticky side facing UP.
This allows the S.Mount Plate to be attached to the adhesive in the next step.
Step 3: Attach the adhesive to the S.Mount Plate
Carefully position the S.Mount Plate over the camera bump and press it down onto the adhesive. Push firmly around the S.Mount Plate to ensure the adhesive is properly attached to the plate.
Wait a few minutes before moving to the next step.
Step 4: Complete the installation
Peel the remaining protective sheet from the adhesive.
Then follow the First-Time Installation guide from Step 3 onward to correctly position, press, and cure the S.Mount Plate.
Remember: Allow at least 2 hours for the adhesive to cure before use. For the strongest bond, 8 hours is recommended.
