Getting Started: ProGripUpdated a month ago

ProGrip is compatible with the majority of smartphones available in the market. It features a phone clamp that opens symmetrically and closes securely when released, accommodating devices between 58 and 90 mm wide. This includes phones with or without a case.

 

Step 1: Attach your smartphone to the ProGrip.

Gently open the phone clamp, place your device within the clamp, and release it to secure the phone. Ensure a snug fit to prevent any movement during use.

 

Step 2: Power on the ProGrip.

Locate the shutter button on the ProGrip and press it to turn it on. The blue LED light will start blinking, indicating that the ProGrip is powered on and ready to be connected to a device.

 

Step 3: Connect ProGrip to your smartphone's Bluetooth.

On your smartphone, go to the Settings menu and enable Bluetooth. Then, search for available Bluetooth devices and select "ShiftCam ProGrip" from the list.

 

 

Step 4: Verify the connection.

Once the ProGrip is successfully connected to your smartphone, the blue LED light on the ProGrip will stop blinking and light up continuously in blue. This indicates that the ProGrip is now connected to a device and ready to be used.

 

Step 5: Launch your camera app on your smartphone and you are now ready to take photos or videos with your ProGrip.

a. To take a photo, click the shutter button on the ProGrip once. This will capture a single photo.

b. To record a video, press and hold the shutter button on the ProGrip. This will initiate video recording. Release the button to stop recording.

 

Switch between Landscape and Portrait mode

 

The ProGrip allows you to switch between landscape and portrait orientations effortlessly. Simply rotate the ProGrip clamp or adjust the orientation of your smartphone accordingly. The ProGrip's design ensures a secure grip in both orientations, providing stability for capturing photos and videos.


Wireless Charging Guide

Enable the Wireless Charging

Step 1:

Align your phone on the ProGrip. Make sure it is centered and aligned with the wireless charging area on the ProGrip.

 

Step 2:

Once your phone is properly aligned, press the Qi on/off button on the ProGrip once. This button controls the wireless charging feature.The LED lights on the bottom right of your ProGrip should light up in white color to indicate ProGrip’s battery level.

 

Step 3:

Wireless charging will be enabled, and your phone should start charging wirelessly. You may see a charging indicator on your phone's screen and a green LED light on the ProGrip confirming that charging has started.

 

 Disable the Wireless Charging

Double press the Qi on/off button on the ProGrip. This action will disable the wireless charging feature. Wireless charging will be turned off along with the green LED light, and your phone will stop charging wirelessly. 

 

*Please note that the ProGrip wireless charging feature will only work on smartphones that support wireless charging. If your smartphone supports Qi wireless charging, it should work well with ProGrip's wireless charging feature.

 

Reminder: ProGrip is designed to accommodate phone cases up to 2.5mm thick exclusively. It is crucial to use a phone case that has a flat back and is not bulky. If you experience wireless charging issues with the ProGrip, we suggest testing the device on your smartphone without a case to eliminate any compatibility concerns with the phone case.



Charging the ProGrip

 

 

Step 1: Locate the charging port

The charging port is located on the bottom right side of the ProGrip. 

 

Step 2: Insert the charging cable.

Take a USB-C charging cable and insert one end into a compatible power source, such as a USB wall adapter or a computer's USB port.

 

Step 3: Connect the cable to the ProGrip 

Insert the other end of the charging cable into the charging port of the ProGrip. Ensure that the connection is secure.

 

Step 4: Monitor the charging process.

Once the ProGrip is connected to the power source, a charging indicator will appear, this is a blinking white LED light. This indicates that the ProGrip is successfully charging.

 

Step 5: Allow time to charge. 
Let the ProGrip charge for the recommended amount of time, which is usually indicated in the product manual. ProGrip is recommended to charge it for at least two hours until fully charged.

 

Step 6: Disconnect and use. 

Once the ProGrip is fully charged, disconnect the charging cable from both the ProGrip and the power source. Your ProGrip is now ready to use. 


Disconnecting the Bluetooth Pairing

Step 1: Disconnect Bluetooth.

Disconnect your smartphone from the ProGrip. Either through your phone's Bluetooth settings or by pressing the ProGrip's BT Connect/Reset button for 3 seconds.

 

Step 2: Blue LED Blinking.

The blue LED on the ProGrip should start blinking. This indicates that your phone has been successfully disconnected from the ProGrip.

 

Step 3: Bluetooth Sleep Mode.

Once your smartphone is disconnected from the device, the ProGrip will subsequently enter sleep mode and will automatically turn off to conserve battery power.


Important Notes

Optimal Temperature Range:
The ProGrip is designed to operate within a specific temperature range. The preferred working environment for the ProGrip is between -4°F to 104°F (-20°C to 40°C). This range provides the ideal conditions for the device to function optimally.

Avoiding Extreme Temperatures:
It's crucial to avoid exposing the ProGrip to extremely hot or cold environments. Temperatures outside the recommended range may cause the device to turn off automatically or potentially result in permanent damage. Therefore, it's essential to keep ProGrip away from sources of extreme heat or cold.

Preventing Water Damage:
It's important to note that the ProGrip is not waterproof. To protect your device and avoid damage, ensure that it remains dry at all times. Avoid exposing the ProGrip to water or any other liquids, including rain, spills, or submerging it in water. Water damage can adversely affect the functionality of the device.
